Grubhub Settlement: How to Check If You Are Getting Paid From the $23.8 Million Refund

The lawsuit accused the food delivery company of using misleading practices regarding fees, subscriptions, and driver pay.
Although Grubhub agreed to resolve the case and change how it displays fees and pay estimates, the company denied any wrongdoings.
Who Is Eligible?
Eligibility is based on official records, so you do not need to fill out an application or file a claim to get paid.
- Customers: May qualify if they were charged unexpected "service" or "small-order" fees after low delivery prices were advertised, or if they paid delivery fees while subscribed to Grubhub+ (which promised free delivery).
- Delivery Drivers: May qualify if they worked during periods when Grubhub advertised potential earnings of up to $26 per hour, despite average driver earnings being closer to $11 per hour in 2023.
How the Payments Work
If you qualify, your payment will be sent automatically via PayPal or as a paper check in the mail.
- Paper Checks: Must be cashed or deposited within 90 days.
- PayPal Payments: Must be accepted within 30 days.
Important Scams Warning
The FTC will never ask you to pay a fee or provide private bank account details to receive your settlement money. If anyone asks for money or financial account information to release your payment, it is a scam.
